Checking the pivot points of the camshafts

Check the pivot points of the camshafts.
If there is damage or wear:
Change the cylinder head with the camshaft bearing
bridge.
Position the camshafts.
✓ The valves are not activated.
Insert the Plastigauge clearance gauge in area f).

Position camshaft bearing bridge
screws.

Ensure that the dowel pins are seated properly.
Do not turn the camshaft.
Remove camshaft bearing bridge
