Introduction to your EncoreCX system

System description

The EncoreCX is an Integrated Communications System. It supports all your voice call needs and also
provides an optional "Integrated Data Solution" which allows multiple simultaneous Internet sessions.

The EncoreCX can accommodate up to 20 Central Office (CO) Lines.

The EncoreCX is modular in construction. It is upgraded by adding various system modules.

The EncoreCX has a simple-to-use menu-driven interface.

The EncoreCX is a hybrid PBX / key-system.
·
The EncoreCX has an Optional Internet Module providing seamless multiple Internet sessions.

The EncoreCX can operate with system digital telephone sets and standard touch-tone telephones,

Three digital telephone set types are available. The ECX 1000 and ECX 1000W digital telephone sets,
which have eight 8 line keys, and the ECX 2000 digital telephone set, which has 16 line keys. A Direct
Station Selection (DSS) can be used with the ECX 2000 digital telephone set providing an additional
32 programmable keys.

The EncoreCX has remote access and maintenance capability.
The EncoreCX's modular design allows it to grow as you grow. No matter what size system you start with,
you can expand up to the maximum capacity. The base unit includes connections for either two or four CO
lines and allows up to eight extensions to be connected.
The system digital telephone set has a large display area that features an intuitive menu-driven interface.
Display keys activate the facilities that are shown on the display. It is not necessary to dial any feature
codes when using the digital telephone set. This makes the system easy to use and saves you time.
The EncoreCX is extremely flexible. You have the choice of operating the system as either a key system:

where all users have direct access to all lines for making and receiving calls.

as a PBX with all calls being answered by an operator.
·
or as a hybrid combination of both.
You can choose to use system digital telephone sets or standard analog telephones at each extension, and
you can change the set combination at any time. An optional Door Phone is available that can be
programmed to ring any extension, and a Doorstrike relay output is also provided.
The EncoreCX is easy to install and maintain. The system can be remotely programmed and
troubleshooting problems can be diagnosed remotely.
