Configuring the RS-232 port

The Ports menu contains fields and parameters for configuring communication
parameters of the RS-232 serial port.
Ports menu options:
Baud rate
Word length
Stop bits
Parity
To configure the RS-232 port:
Highlight the Ports menu
Highlight the Baud parameter
Press a soft key to increase INC, or decrease DEC the baud rate
Highlight the Word Len parameter
Press a soft key to select a 7, or 8 bit word length
Highlight the Stop Bits parameter
Press a soft key to select 1 or 2 stop bits
Highlight the Parity parameter
Press a soft key to select Odd, Even, or None
Highlight Data
Press a soft key to select the data that will be sent to the serial port
Data choices include:
None: No data will be sent
Position: Sends the current axis position data to the serial port in one
column when the Print key is pressed
XYZ: Sends the current axis position data to the serial port in both a column
and a row when the Print key is pressed.
