Removing a 2.5-inch Drive Carrier
The replacement procedure for 2.5" drive carriers is basically the same as
for 3.5" drive carriers, except that the 2.5" drive carriers are mounted verti-
cally.
Perform the following steps:
1. Press the latch to release the handle.
2. Remove the drive carrier.
The 2.5-inch carrier is successfully removed.

Disk damage
Damage can occur to a drive if it is removed while it still
spins.
We recommend that you perform all steps of the
following procedure to make sure that the drive has
stopped prior to removal. Avoid vibrations after pulling
out.
