4 Operation
4.9 Modes
After the key has been pressed, the newly activated mode appears bright with dark
inscription.
Note
Detection and feedback mode are disabled relative to one another. Activation of
the detection mode thus leads to deactivation of feedback mode, and vice versa.

4.9.2 Standard therapy mode

Pressing the mode key which already has a bright background again deactivates
the chosen mode but without activating the other mode. Thus, both detection mode
and feedback mode are switched off. No information appears in the region between
frequency data and mode key.
Note
The laser can be operated under this setting but without the feedback function.

4.9.3 Detect mode

The detection mode is for detecting tissue.
If the handpiece is guided over the tooth, the following display appears:
▪ The instantaneous fluorescence measurement appears below Mom.
▪ Under PEAK the highest value measured since the last reset is displayed.
The peak value can be reset to the current instantaneous value in the detection
mode by pressing the laser pulse trigger.
▪ The most recently entered threshold value is shown below the threshold value
key.
