6.6 Further tests
▪ Visual inspection of unit and accessories
▪ Function test
▪ No visible leaks in the unit
▪ Check internal safety systems
– Emergency off switch
– Key switch
– Safety switch of swing arm (shutter lock)
– Safety switch of input coupling of laser tube
– Connection for external door contact
– Connection for external warning lamp
– Monitoring of cooling system
– Energy monitoring/regulation
– Shutter/absorber
– Safety foot control
▪ Check external safety systems
– Warning signs
Check whether the required warning signs are mounted at all entrance doors
to the KEY laser treatment room.
– Warning lamps
Check that all entrance doors to the KEY Laser treatment room are equipped
with warning lamps.
– Door switches
If door switches are installed, check that they are operating. If door(s) is/are
open, it should not be possible for the KEY Laser to switch to READY.
– Safety goggles
Inspect all safety goggles to ensure they are fit.
