9.7 Mounting of door switches
Note
Door switches do not have to be mounted.
Note
Door switches have to be fit and installed by an electrician. The connection to the
KEY Laser 1243 is performed by a Service Technician who has successfully com‐
pleted KEY Laser 1243 training.
On the rear of the KEY Laser 1243, there is a connection for door switches.

An "opener" can be connected here.
This means that, if an entrance door to the KEY Laser 1243 treatment room is
opened, the door switch too must be opened.
If there are several entrance doors, all entrance doors should be provided with a
key switch.
The door switches should be connected in series.
The switches are loaded with max. 5 V / 10 mA.
Note
Do not connect any external voltages to the "door switch" connection.
If no door switches are provided, bridge the connection using the jumper supplied.
If the 'door switch' connection is broken, changing from standby to ready mode is
impossible.
The following message appears on screen: "Door open – Close the door contact"
