9.5 Maintenance

This chapter describes the most common maintenance solutions that can be performed by the
user of the product. For maintenance solutions not described in this manual, contact the service
personnel.

9.5.1 Removing the Protective Covers

The protective covers of the Pannoramic® SCAN RX must be opened to perform any
maintenance work, and also to eliminate errors, for example slide or magazine jamming.
Before removing the covers, exit Pannoramic® Scanner Software for Research control
software, switch off the 24 V power supply and disconnect the power cables.
Warning!
Avoid leaning over the device when opening it.
Five eccentric screws (3) are located on the bottom face of the base plate (4). They attach
the covers to the base plate.

Use an open-end wrench (W/F 10) (5) to turn the screws (3) on the lateral sides of the
Pannoramic® SCAN RX by 90° anticlockwise, proceeding pairwise (B). Use both hands
to take cover (1) carefully off upwards.
