10-3-1 Error Log Table

Bit status
Network parameter error
(CIO 1500 + 25 × n, bit 0)
is 1: ON
The error log records errors that occur in the Controller Link Unit and the time
they occur. The error log can be read or cleared using the Controller Link Sup-
port Software, the CX-Programmer, a PLC Programming Device such as the
SYSMAC Support Software, or the message service (FINS commands for the
Controller Link Unit.)
Errors are recorded in an error log table in the Unit's RAM, with one record for
each error and a maximum of 39 records.
Errors of significance are also recorded in the Unit's EEPROM so that when
the power to the Unit is turned OFF or reset, a record of the error will remain.
(The error log table in EEPROM automatically reads the Unit's RAM when the
power is turned ON again.)

Configuration of records
Record order
If the number of records exceeds 39, the oldest record will be deleted and the
most recent error recorded.
Probable cause
The CPU Unit's EEPROM
data link tables or the net-
work parameters are dam-
aged.
There is an error in the net-
work parameter settings, or
node address of the local
node is larger then the maxi-
mum address set within the
network parameters.
39 max.

Error code: 2 bytes (Refer to page 226.)
Detail code: 2 bytes (Refer to page 226.)
Time: 6 bytes (Refer to the following
page.)
From the oldest record to the most
recent.
Section 10-3
Probable remedy
Refer to 9-1-3 Network
Parameters and reset the
data correctly. If the error
occurs again, replace the
CPU Unit.
Either set the EEPROM
Clear Bit in the DM parame-
ter area to ON, or use the Ini-
tialize network parameters
operation on the Mainte-
nance Menu of the Controller
Link Support Software to ini-
tialize the network parame-
ters and then cycle the power
supply.
Refer to 9-1-3 Network
Parameters and reset the
network parameters or the
node address.
