❑ If the parking brake is
applied with ignition switched off, the lamp lights up for approx. 30 seconds.
❑ The lamp should go out when the parking brake is released.
❑ If the warning lamp flashes continuously after applying the parking brake, the brake force is not sufficient
to prevent the vehicle from accidental movement. Note the following:
❑ If the gradient of the hill is too steep for parking, a warning is displayed. Warning: Vehicle parked too
steep.
❑ In case of malfunction of the parking brake the yellow symbol in the instrument cluster display lights up
additionally and the warning: Parking brake! is displayed.
