7 - Wheel bearing/wheel bearing unit
❑ The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing
8 - Rear right/left speed sensor - G44/G46-
❑ Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system - VAS
5051B- or -VAS 5052-
❑ Removing and installing
9 - Diagnostic connection
❑ Fitting location: cover in driver's footwell
10 - Wheel bearing/wheel bearing unit
❑ The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing
11 - Front right/left speed sensor - G45/G47-
❑ Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS
5051B- or -VAS 5052-
❑ Removing and installing
12 - ABS hydraulic unit - N55- with ABS control unit with EDL - J104-
❑ The hydraulic unit and the control unit together form the hydraulic control unit.
❑ The brake pressure sender (01435) - G201- is integrated in the ABS hydraulic unit - N55- and can only
be renewed together with this unit.
❑ Do not disconnect connector (42 pin) before successfully completing self-diagnosis. Switch off ignition
before detaching connector.
❑ Located on the hydraulic unit on left of engine compartment.

Note
On the RS 6 model the vacuum
pump can only be removed and in‐
stalled after taking out the engine.
