9 - Bolt (Torx 45), tightening torque 23 Nm
10 - Self-locking hexagon nut, 49 Nm
11 - Brake line, 16 Nm
❑ Brake master cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
12 - Brake line, 16 Nm
❑ Brake master cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
13 - Seal
❑ Renew
14 - Tandem brake master cylinder
❑ Cannot be repaired. Renew complete unit if defective
❑ Removing and installing
15 - Sealing plug
❑ Moisten with brake fluid and press into brake fluid reservoir
16 - Vacuum hose with hose clip (with lug fastener)
❑ Insert into brake servo unit
17 - Sealing plug
❑ Connection for vacuum hose
Note
Use only new brake fluid. Observe information on brake fluid res‐
ervoir!
Adjusting ball head
Left-hand drive vehicles:
-a = 178.2 mm ± 0.5 mm-
Right-hand drive vehicles:
-a = 203.3 mm ± 0.5 mm-
Note
Surface -1- for measuring.

The ball head must be set at right angles to the surface of the

brake servo when taking the measurement.
Measure to end of ball head without gasket fitted.

Whenever the length of the pushrod is re-adjusted in the ve‐
♦
hicle the brake light switch must be renewed.
