Make sure the brake pads are installed in the correct position. The
brake pad with wear indicator is located on the inside. The cham‐
fered side of the brake pad -arrow- faces downwards when in‐
stalled.
– Bleed brake system
– Fit wheels.
Tightening torque for wheel bolts ⇒ Rep. gr. 44
– Lower vehicle.
Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is
driven on the road.

Removing and installing front brake
pads (ceramic brakes)
The ceramic brake discs must always be checked for damage and
wear when renewing the brake pads.

Make sure the brake pads are installed in the correct position. The
brake pad with wear indicator is located on the inside. The cham‐
fered side of the brake pad -arrow- faces downwards when in‐
stalled.
Note
Brake caliper must not be dismantled. Do not loosen any bolts on
the brake caliper.
Removing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Piston resetting appliance - T10145-
Note
Mark brake pads when removing them if they are to be rein‐
stalled. Reinstall in their original position to prevent uneven
braking.
After replacing brake pads, depress brake pedal firmly several
times with vehicle stationary so that the pads are properly
seated in their normal operating position.
– Raise vehicle.
– Remove wheels.
