Detaching And Attaching Front Brake Disc - Rs 6 - Audi A6 2005 Workshop Manual

– Slide retaining pin -3- through brake caliper from outside to
inside.
Note
Make sure that the projections on the retaining pin and on the
brake caliper coincide. The retaining pin must be pressed through
as far as stop.
Note
The pad retaining spring -10- is located above the retaining pin
-3-.
– Renew bolt -9-.
– Fit bolt -9- and tighten to 30 Nm.
– Connect pad wear indicator wire.
– Clip in pad wear indicator wire.
– Fit wheels ⇒ ELSA/ Wheel/Tyre Guide ⇒ Rep. gr. 44 .
Note
After installing the brake pads, depress the pedal firmly several
times with the vehicle stationary, so that the pads are properly
seated in their normal operating position.
– Check brake fluid level and top up if necessary.
Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is
driven on the road.

– Raise vehicle.
– Remove wheels.
