25 Setting the Position Detection System
25.1.5 Dog-type

Preparations
Set the parameters on the Abs pos
param screen.
(2)
Turn the power OFF and ON.
(Only when "#2049 type" is specified again.)
The following are the operations on the absolute position setting screen. (Select [Mainte] - [To Abs pos])

Select an axis to set the absolute
position.
There are two methods to select an
axis.
- Select the menu [Axis select], enter
the axis name in the input area then
press [INPUT]. (For the axis name,
input the name set to the parameter
"#1022 axname2" (2nd axis name).)
- Press the menu [Prev axis] and [Next
axis] to switch the axis.

Execute the manual or automatic dog-
type zero point return.
(5)
The axis arrives at the zero point.
The zero point initial setting is now complete. After initializing all axes, turn the power OFF and ON.
(Note 1) If the dog-type reference position return is interrupted by resetting, the previous state ("Complete" or
"Illegality") will display in the [State] column.
(Note 2) With dog-type reference position return, reference position return can be executed again even if the [State] is
"Complete".
#2049 type (absolute position detection method): 3 (dog-type)
The parameters for the approach speed and grid mask amount etc.
need to be adjusted.
