Menu Code 18 - How to Program Motor Delay
This menu code is only used on self-contained (suction) dispensers that do not have valves. The 2
second delay prevents the pump motor from turning on immediately when the pump handle is acti-
vated. The pump motor will activate following the display reset sequence.
Note: On a self contained (suction) system without valves, you do not want the self contained motor
to come on right away (before the reset). If this were the case, fuel would be flowing and the display
would be showing all 0000's. Make sure you set the valve delay for 2 seconds. This way, the self
contained motor will not turn on until after the handle is turned "on" and the 2 second delay has ex-
pired.
To select a different option in Menu Code 18, follow this procedure:
1. After the Manager's Mode has been accessed, press the number 1 and 8, then the MODE button
on the keypad. See Figure 1. The PPV display shows the dispenser is in Menu Code 18.
If the dispenser has not been programmed since it came from the factory, the option for NO delay
(0) appears in the main display. This is the default setting. See Figure 2.
2. To change the setting, use the 1 button on the keypad to enter a 2 second delay. See Fig. 3.
NOTE: If an error is made, press the correct number. The new number replaces the error.
3. When the correct option number appears in the main
display, press the ENTER button to save your setting.
4. Press the CANCEL button to exit this menu code.
