D.8 Mounting the Load Cells

Mount the bearings in the load cells.
Use tools and materials that not will damage the bearing or the load cell.
One of the bearings is locked in position with retaining rings while the
other bearing is only pressed into the correct position to allow axial expansion.
a.
Mount one of the retaining rings into the load cell.
b.
Arrange a counterstay as shown in the figure below.
c.
Press the bearing to correct position.
The bearing bed has only a slight interference fit, and, therefore, no heavy forces
should be used.
d.
Mount the other retaining ring into the load cell.
