Section 3: Service Setup

Inspection item

• Color hue accuracy.
• Color saturation accuracy.
• Absence of noise, artifact or instability.

Criteria

• Screen appears normal. No lines should appear on the screen.
• Color appears normal (white should appear pure).
• Flashing lines are unacceptable.
• If the screen image appears noisy, press the M
select Size & Position > Pixel Phase. Use the R
• RGBW should all appear normal on the screen and be in the R-G-B-W order. If
not, the color wheel index may need adjustment (see
Adjustment).
• Color levels should be sufficient and normal. (The number of steps in the left and
right extremes of the 64 gray RGBW pattern should not be over 8.)
• Gray level should not have abnormal color or heavy lines.
• If color appears abnormal under the 64 gray RGBW pattern, enter Factory Mode
to adjust Color Speed, Sequence Code and Wave Form. Follow the procedure in
3.6.3 Color Wheel Index
Speed being used (2X or 3X).

3.6.3 Color Wheel Index Adjustment

Procedure

1. Perform the following actions to get into Factory Mode:
a. Ensure projector is ON.
b. Press M
Keypad.
2. Provide a 255 Gray Level test pattern to a projector input.
3. Select Color Speed. Pressing the Remote Controller or Keypad ENTER key will
toggle this field between 2X and 3X. Select 2X.
