PC Mode

This section outlines functional tests that can be employed to verify performance of the projector. These tests
can be performed in conjunction with the troubleshooting process outlined in
particularly when image quality is of concern. Calibration methods using the projector's menu system are also
outlined. NOTE: Before starting a functional test, adjust the zoom and focus to provide the sharpest and
largest possible image size.
1. Choose the appropriate test signal: analog 1920 x 1200 @60Hz (for DWU675-E/DWU775-E); analog
1920 x 1080 @60Hz (for DHD675-E/DHD775-E) and connect to one of the projector VGA input ports.
2. Adjust Focus and Zoom for the largest and sharpest projected image.

3.6.1 Frequency and Tracking Boundary

Procedure

• Test equipment: video generator
• Test signal: analog 1920 x 1200 @60Hz (DWU675-E/DWU775-E); analog 1920
x 1080 @60Hz (DHD675-E/DHD775-E)
• Test Pattern: General-1 or Master
Check the image for optimal sharpness. If not optimal, re-adjust by pressing the
M
ENU
key to enter Main Menu for each step below, then select:
1. Size & Position > Size Presets > Full Size
2. Input Switching & PIP > Timing Detection Mode > OFF
3. Size & Position > Pixel Track function and use the R
to minimize video flicker.
4. Size & Position, adjust Horiz Position/Vert Position to center the image.

Inspection items

• Eliminate visual wavy noise using Resync, Frequency or Tracking selections.
• Horizontal and vertical position of the video should be adjusted to fit the screen.

3.6.2 Color Performance

Procedure
• Test equipment: video generator.
• Test signal: 480p, 720p, 1080p
• Test Pattern: Master, 64 gray RGBW or SMPTE bar. Use 480p, 720p, 1080p Mas-
ter patterns to perform HDTV test. White should appear to be pure white (not
exhibit color temperature shift).
