Cleaning

IMPORTANT: Please read carefully.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the projector and its components during servicing is critical. The projector
includes numerous optical components, which must remain clean in order to maintain the projector's specified
performance level. A small amount of dust or a fingerprint on almost any optical component may cause poor
image quality or a noticeable drop-off in brightness.
During servicing, take all necessary measures to avoid contaminating the optical surfaces. Wear clean, lint-
free cotton gloves when handling internal components. It is desired that a Minimum amount of cleaning
will be required during and after servicing.
If during servicing you notice that a component is dirty or dusty, or if you have accidentally contaminated a
component, see Table 2.1 to determine the appropriate cleaning action needed. Make sure the projector is
unplugged before cleaning.

All servicing must be performed by CHRISTIE accredited service technicians.
Use replacement parts that are manufacturer-approved only. Use of any other
part other than the ones specified by the manufacturer can result in fire,
electric shock or risk of personal injury and irreparable equipment damage.
DO NOT service the projector while it is still connected. There are exposed
voltages that could cause severe physical injuries and possibly death. Always
disconnect the projector and wait two minutes to allow the power supply
capacitors to electrically discharge before removing the projector covers.
