Wiring of HEAT PIPE FAN / REMOTE CONTROL / LASER POWER UNIT / LASER FLEXIBLE CABLE
Refer to the following for wiring.
(a) HEAT PIPE FAN1 lead
(b) HEAT PIPE FAN2 lead
(c) REMOTE PCB cable (CNFREM)
(d) Laser power unit cable (CNLPW)
(e) Illuminance sensor(blue) cable (CNOPB)
(f) Laser flexible cable (CNLDF)
Replacing the heat sink duct
1. Remove the top case.
2. Release the harness cables from the retaining
clips.
3. Disconnect the two harnesses.
4. Disconnect the CNLDF harness connection.
5. Remove the IR sensor PCB.
6. Remove the two heat pipe fans.
7. Remove and replace the duct.
8. To reinstall the heat sink duct, reverse the
above steps in reverse order.
Replacing the IR PCB
1. Remove the top case.
2. Disconnect the IR PCB harness connection.
3. Remove and replace the IR PCB.
4. To reinstall the IR PCB, repeat the above steps
in reverse order.
Replacing the heat sink exhaust fans (#1 and #2)
1. Remove the heat sink duct assembly.
2. Slide out the affected fan.
3. Replace the fan.
4. To reinstall the fan, repeat these steps in
reverse order.
Procedure for wiring CNLPW
Connect CNLPW to CNLDF.
Put two cores (FER1/FER2) at A in the picture.
Wire CNLPW on the HEAT SINK DUCT, and close the clamp
after passing it through the clamp B in the picture.
Make sure that FER1/FER2 do not move after wiring CNLPW.

Connect CNLPW to CNLDF
inserted into a holder as shown
in dotted red line.
Pass HEAT PIPE FAN 1 lead, CNFREM, and CNOPB through this clamp.
Pass HEAT PIPE FAN 2 lead through this clamp.
Pass CNLPW and CNFREM through this clamp.
HEAT PIPE FAN1 lead
Make sure that
REMOTE PCB is
inside the hook.
[NOTE]
Wire CNFREM on HEAT SINK DUCT to connect to MAIN PCB as shown in the picture.
(Make sure that it does not fall off the right edge of HEAT SINK DUCT indicated by a yellow line.)

Handle CNLDF with care because it is fragile.
Do not bend because it is easily disconnected.
REMOTE PCB
Make sure that a hook in red circle is hooked
after inserting CNLPW into CNLDF.
[NOTE]
Do not pull out CNLPW from CNLDF in the
Holder
condition of the picture above.
Remove CNLDF from the holder with
CNLPW connected.
Holding CNLDF, pull out CNLPW after
unlocking the lock of a connector.
