■ Separating the LCD/LENS prism assembly from the DICHROIC OPTICS UNIT
· Be sure to do this preparation before detaching or attaching the dichroic optics unit. Otherwise, the
surfaces of optical filters of the dichroic optics unit could be damaged.
· Before this work, detach the optical unit from the projector and put it on a flat and stable plane in
order not to put stress on the LCD panels or any parts holding the LCD panels.
· Do not touch the contacts of panel flexible cables.
(1) Preparation for detaching or attaching the DICHROIC OPTICS UNIT
Fold and secure the panel flexible cables using a weakly adhesive tape as shown in the picture.
Do not let the cables and the tape protrude from the outline of the LCD & Prism block.
(2) Loosen and remove three screws (Photo A).
(3) While hold down the LCD/Lens prism assembly, lift the DICHROIC OPTICS UNIT carefully and separate
it from the LCD/Lens prism assembly so that any parts will not touch the surfaces of the optical filters
and LCD panels (Photo B).
NOTE: The LCD/Lens prism assembly and the DICHROIC OPTICS UNIT are jointed at the three
points shown in the picture (Photo B).

In assembling the optical engine, make sure to fold and secure the panel flexible cables as well before
re-attaching the DICHROIC OPTICS UNIT to the LCD/Lens prism assembly.
Fix the three screws with torque (0.6~0.7 N.m) when tightening a screw (Photo A).
