Other issues
42 |
CW-80 Container Cooler 866600CE-B
Probable Cause
Under-sized cooler.
Under-sized ducts.
Clogged or dirty cooling core.
Dirty inlet air filter
Dry cores or lack of water while cooler is
operating.
Insufficient air discharge openings or
inadequate exhaust from building, causing
high humidity and discomfort.
Incorrect supply air/exhaust ratios
Excessive ambient humidity (see also item
above re inadequate exhaust).
Fans out of balance due to dirt. etc.
Air distribution system creating too much
back pressure, or changes of direction too
sudden, or grilles too small.
Pump motor failures
Check fault condition via the operating
screen
Control System failed.
Main power circuit breaker tripped or fuse
blown.
Fan motor failure
Low system voltage.
Insufficient water in reservoir.
Water hoses blocked.
Pump filters blocked.
Failed water level sensors
(CW-80S only) Heavy deposits on Chillcel
pads.
Exhaust Fans failed
Cores incorrectly flushed during
commissioning resulting in detergents left
in the water.
New cooler core.
Cooler located near source of unpleasant
odour.
Algae in Water Tank.
Cores remain wet after power outage.
Heavy core deposits.
New cooler cores
Suggested Remedy
Replace with larger cooler.
Replace with larger ducts.
Clean or replace core.
Clean or replace filter.
Check water distribution system for possible obstruction in hoses.
Check pump
Check the operation of the Distribution valve
Confirm that water supply meets minimum requirements.
Make sure there is adequate provision for exhausting stale air from
building (open windows and doors)
Pressure sensor incorrect
Fan Failure
On days during summer when ambient humidity is high the cooler
will not reduce the temperature as much as on drier days. There is
no remedy.
Clean the fan.
Have contractor re-evaluate his design; use bends instead of
elbows; change grille sizes.
Replace pump
Rectify fault as indicated and restart the cooler.
Check BMS signal
Check operation in "Local Auto"
Check cause of overload. Reset circuit breaker or replace fuse.
Replace motor.
Consult with power supply authority.
Check tank sensor operating
Check and clean out blockage
Clean pump filters.
Check level sensor in manual mode. Replace if failed.
(CW-80S only) Clean or replace Chillcel pads
Check exhaust fan operation.
Flush cores and replace water multiple times in Manual mode with
fans off.
Flush cores and replace water multiple times in Manual mode with
fans off.
Remove source of odour or relocate cooler.
Refer to Water Tank cleaning procedure in maintenance
instructions section of this manual.
Run CW on "vent" for 3 hours after cooling cycle or run exhaust
fans at speed 7 in Manual mode to dry cores out.
Replace cores.
Continual operation in cooling mode will flush detergents from
cores. Froth will disappear after prolonged operation.
