OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CW-80 - OPERATING SYSTEM cont.
Every 14 days (after the last tank drain) the system will
automatically carry out a tank cleaning cycle. This cycle
has been scheduled to occur at 1.00am in the morning
and takes about 15 minutes plus the tank refill time to
complete.
During this cycle the cooler will be in forced vent
operation mode and fans will continue to operate
- however cooling performance will be temporarily
reduced.
At initial change from Cool mode or Standby mode to
Vent mode, core watering stops and the exhaust fans
continue to operate for a further 15 minutes to dry out
the cores to prevent water from entering the customer's
supply air.
This core drying cycle will also take place at the
commencement of vent mode if the cores have been
previously watered and the core drying cycle not
previously completed.
After a period of 72 hours in Vent or Standby mode, the
tank will automatically drain fully (if not already done).
At the completion of tank draining and in Standby mode,
the cooler will shut down.

All models: BACnet OPTION

Typical BMS BACnet connections for the CW-80.
ILL2496-B
ILL2496-B
Control is determined by the BACnet object "BACnet
Control".
With this object disabled, the cooler is under control
of the hard wired BMS signals.
With this object enabled, the cooler is under the
control of the BACnet object instructions.
It is possible to use both hard wired BMS for cooler
ILL2497-B
operation and BACnet for monitoring at the same time if
so desired.
ILL2497-B
Current BMS signals status is shown for both hard wired
and BACnet types on the two separate screens. Press
the "BMS AUTO" control mode button again (despite
already being highlighted) to display the BMS type and
details currently controlling the cooler. If desired, use the
"NEXT" button to navigate to the other BMS type to view
its current, non-controlling BMS signal status.
The BACnet object "BACnet Integrity" is monitored every
10 seconds by the cooler controller. This object ensures
that the cooler controller is still receiving valid instructions
from the BACnet master.
If a "BACnet Integrity" signal is not received by the cooler
controller for 30 minutes then the cooler will shut down.
During the 30 minute window while communication is
lost with the BACnet master, the cooler will continue
to operate as per the last instruction received from the
ILL2498-B
BACnet master.
