BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
(BMS)
Building Management Control Connection
CW-80 coolers are supplied with electric terminals inside
the electrical cabinet which can be used to control the
cooler from external devices, such as PLC's or Building
Management Systems (BMS).
This requires an independent low voltage power supply
provided by the installer.
Typical BMS connections are shown below.
For the CW-80T-TWIN, a BMS Junction box is mounted
on the central area of the chassis beam to provide BMS
connection.

CONNECTION
With the 2 CW-80T coolers positioned together to create
a CW-80T-TWIN, there is a requirement to connect the
BMS communication between the 2 units. Extra cable &
conduit has been supplied to achieve this. The first CW-
80T is connected as per following diagram.
Connect the second CW-80T as per the next diagram.
A sealed joint between the conduit and junction box can
be achieved by using solvent cement. Once cable is
connected, rivet the supplied P Saddle clamps to chassis
beam to safely retain conduit in position.
The customer BMS connection can be connected as per
the next diagram. Ensure that the customer's cable and
conduit is sealed to junction Box.

Building Management Control Functions
Remote ON-OFF, COOL & FAN SPEED function can be
achieved from an external source provided the cooler is
in "Remote BMS" control mode.
These functions are achieved by applying voltages as
outlined in table below. Critical & Warning errors can be
sent to the BMS when connected as outlined.
