All models: Water Tank Cleaning Procedure

1.
It is recommended to clean tank if there is excessive
foreign debris build up.
2.
Assuming the cooler is still powered, select manual
control mode by pressing the "MAN'" button at the
bottom row of the touch screen. To gain full access
to the manual mode, first adjust the 4 digit displayed
code to match the correct access code (factory
default is 0000) and then enter this code by pressing
the "ENTER" button.
3.
Remove chlorinator cell and cradle assembly. Refer
Pages "Removing Chlorinator Cell from the tank" on
page 32 for relevant information.
4.
While tank has water in it give it a scrub with a soft
scrubbing brush in dirty areas particularly where
the chlorinator cells were positioned as this is
where there will be some calcium build up. If tank
is empty, fill it up before the scrubbing and cleaning
begins. Whilst in manual mode, select water related
components by pressing the "WATER" button (if not
already). Commence filling the tank by pressing the
"INLET VALVE" button. Press again to close the inlet
valve.
5.
After scrubbing tank, open the "DRAIN VALVE"
while in manual mode to evacuate water & foreign
debris from tank.
6.
While tank is empty it is recommended to use
a hose to squirt fresh water inside both the left
hand and right hand sides of the cooler through
the openings where the water returns back to the
pumping area to flush debris out. The following view
shows hose pushed into the left hand side.
7.
Water is to be directed as per the following views to
thoroughly flush all debris out of the water storage
areas. Please note that following views are with
"cooling cores" removed to best illustrate what is
required. Cooling cores do not need to be removed
to carry out the tank cleaning procedure. The base
of the water storage areas is angled to ensure that
water and debris drains back to the central pumping
area. Drain valve to remain open.

8.
The debris which drains back to the central pumping
area can be vacuumed using a "wet" vacuum
cleaner, from the bottom of the tank.
9.
Turn inlet water solenoid on to start filling the tank
while drain valve is still open to flush any debris
which could be around the drain valve seating area.
10. Refit the chlorinator cell and cradle assembly as
previously removed in item 3.
11. Tank should now be clean. Turn the cooler back to
automatic BMS mode of operation by pressing the
"BMS AUTO'" button at the bottom row of the touch
screen.
