Monitoring
7.9.4.1
Monitoring the measured values of the 3RW51 soft starter with the 3RW5 HMI High
Feature
Requirements
● You are in menu "Monitoring > Measured Values".
Procedure for measured values
Select a measuring value.
The menus "Phase Currents [%]" and "Phase Currents (rms)" contain further menu items,
which you can switch to with "OK".
Measured value
Phase currents [%]
Phase currents (r.m.s.) [A]
Remaining motor cooling time [s]
Remaining contact block cooling time [s]
Remaining motor cooling time [s]
Contact block heating [°C]

Setting range
Explanation
The phase currents are displayed as a
IL1
percentage. You can monitor each phase (L1 / L2
IL2
/ L3) individually, or the average of all 3 phases.
IL3
The phase currents are displayed in amperes.
Average
You can monitor each phase (L1 / L2 / L3)
individually, or the average of all 3 phases.
Remaining recovery time (minimum cooling time
of the motor) still to be observed following
activation of motor overload protection until the
3RW51 soft starter is once again ready for
operation.
The remaining cooling time of the contact block is
dependent on the thermal capacity of the power
unit and the ambient conditions (temperature, air
circulation, installation location etc.)
The remaining wait time after protective tripping
of the motor until the soft starter is ready to
operate again.
The currently calculated contact block
temperature rise is continuously compared with
the previously stored contact block temperature
rise.
