3.5 Error treatment
3.5.1 Reaction to faults in the control system
The valves react differently to a fault. A distinction is
made between a:
– reset by the master
– communication failure.

PLEASE NOTE
If outputs are reset or set to the default status when
there is a PLC stop, field bus interruption or field bus
fault, the following "pneumatic rules" must be ob-
served:
• unilaterally-actuated valves move to the basic
• double-solenoid valves remain in the current position
• mid-position valves move to the mid-position

and are pressurized, exhausted or blocked
(depending on valve type).
Reaction
Outputs are switched off immediately
Outputs assume the default
status after expiry of time:
guardtime x lifetime factor
(index 100C x index 100D).
The default status is determined by
index 6206 and 6207.
