  • Page 15 1. Installation Setting the node address You can set the node address of the CPV valve termi- nal with the address selector switches. The switches are numbered from 0 to 9. The arrow on the switches indicates the units or tens figure of the node address which is set.

The position ON is marked. PLEASE NOTE Set the field bus baud rate of the CPV valve terminal so that it corresponds to the setting of your scanner.

    Load voltage For the load voltage connection, use plugs from the connection Festo range corresponding to the outer diameter of the cables used (see Appendix A, Accessories). Installation 1.3.3 Selecting the power unit WARNUNG: Use only power units which guarantee reliable isola- tion of the operating voltages as per IEC 742 / EN 60742 / VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation resist- ance (protected extra low voltage, PELV). Switch power packs are permitted, if they guarantee reliable isolation in accordance with EN 60950 / VDE 0805.

Installation 1.4.1 Fitting the terminating resistor Terminating If the CPV valve terminal to be connected is at the end resistor of the field bus, a terminating resistor (120 Ohm, 0.25 Watt) must be fitted. The current status of the outputs (valves) is copied internally to the input addresses.
