The monitored outputs on the extinguishing card are monitored for short-circuits
and open lines. The lines' quiescent level can be imported and stored with a
calibration function on the 'PMI' display. If a deviation from the quiescent value is
detected, the control panel evaluates a short-circuit or an open line.
Perform calibration in the following cases:
● Initial commissioning: calibrate all installed extinguishing cards
● Amended hardware on the monitored outputs on an extinguishing card
WARNING
Uncalibrated or incorrectly calibrated outputs
Outputs that have not been calibrated or that have been calibrated incorrectly
could lead to short-circuits or open lines at the monitored outputs being detected
incorrectly. This could lead to a system fault being ignored and could result in
severe or fatal injuries.
● Calibrate the monitored outputs for all extinguishing cards when
commissioning for the first time.
● Calibrate the monitored outputs each time the hardware at the outputs on an
extinguishing card is modified.
w The monitored outputs are wired to the activated devices.
w The lines have already been checked for short-circuits and open lines.
w The lines' resistance values have already been measured and are within the
specified range.
w The installation publishes at least one general fault on a non-calibrated
monitored output on PMI.
w The installation is in the 'Quiet' state.
w Required access level: 3
1. On the 'PMI' display, open the following path in the main menu:
'Topology' > 'Hardware tree' > 'Station xx'
a The display shows the menu for the station in question.
2. In the 'Station xx' menu, mark the entry 'Extg.gr xx' for the flooding zone in
question.
3. Select the 'More options' function in the softkey bar.
a The display shows a list.
4. In the list, select the following: 'Execute commands' > 'Calibrate'
a The system reads and stores the quiescent levels of all monitored outputs on
the extinguishing card.
