22.8.1 MCL-USB adapter FDUZ22x

The firmware of the MCL-USB adapter FDUZ221 or the MCL-USB adapter (radio)
FDUZ227 must be updated if a new firmware version is issued.
Preparation
w The driver for the MCL-USB adapter is installed on the PC.
1. Select 'File' > 'Import new resource package'.
2. In the selection window open the corresponding file F-FXS2007-XX_x_x_...zip.
3. Connect the MCL-USB adapter to the PC.
a The orange LED on the MCL-USB adapter flashes for a short while. When the
device is ready for operation, the green LED lights up.

Updating the firmware
Check the COM port setting under 'Options' > 'Preferences' > 'Periphery update'
before performing the firmware update.
1. Select 'Update' > 'Periphery update wizard'.
2. In the 'Password check' window, enter the password '12345678' and click on
the 'Next' button.
3. Select the FDUZ22x in the 'Devices:' field.
a The connection with the FDUZ22x is established.
a The latest firmware package and the latest firmware version are suggested.
4. Click on 'Next'.
5. Follow the instructions in the dialog and perform the update.
a The FDUZ22x restarts.
a When the device is ready for operation, the green LED on the FDUZ22x
lights up.
6. Disconnect the FDUZ22x from the PC.
a The firmware is updated.
