q Replace the gasket (3).
NOTICE
q Do not refill the new cartridge with fuel oil.
q Remove the cap (B) before installing the new cartridge.
7. Tighten the cartridge until the gasket makes contact with
the sealing surface, then give a further 3/4 turn.
NOTICE
Do not use the wrench to lock the filter, in order to avoid
damaging the filter itself and causing fuel leakages.
8. Turn the valve (1) of the pre-filter in open position (O).
9. After changing the fuel filter cartridge, bleed the circuit as
indicated below.
10. Refill the fuel tank (floating at the highest position).
11. Loosen the grip (4) of the supply pump, take it out and
pump until the movement becomes difficult.
REMARK
It is not necessary to remove the cap on the upper part of the
pre-filter and the fuel main filter.
In case the engine does not start due to lack of fuel, actuate the
fuel pump in order to bleed the air.
12. After bleeding the air, screw the fuel pump grip (4) tight.
13. After replacing the cartridge, start the engine and run it at
idle for about 10 minutes.
NOTICE
q Make sure that there is no fuel leakage from the filter sealing surface and from the transparent cap
support. If any leakage is detected, check the filter cartridge tightening.
q In case the fuel leakage continues, repeat steps 2-5 to remove the filter cartridge, then, in case any
failure or foreign body is detected on the sealing surface, replace it with a new cartridge and repeat
steps 6-13 to install it.
