FUNCTIONING
Adjusting the drain valve
If the drain valve (4) is difficult to open and close, grease the O-
ring of the valve to facilitate movement.
1. Place the valve (5) next to fuel pre-filter cartridge (1) at
closed position (S).
2. Place a container for fuel under the pre-filter cartridge.
3. Open the drain valve (4) and drain all the water and
sediment in the transparent cap (2), a well as the fuel
accumulated in the filter cartridge (1).
4. When no more fuel or sediment comes out of the drain pipe
(3), remove the drain valve (4).
5. Coat the O-ring (6) with a suitable quantity of grease.
Do not let the grease contaminate the water drain outlet (7)
or the drain valve thread (8).
6. Hand-tighten the drain valve (4) until it is flush with the
transparent cap (2).
7. Remove the fuel container.
8. Set the valve (5) to the open position (O).
