FUNCTIONING
Removing and installing the battery
q Before removing the battery, stop the engine, wait at least one minute, and afterwards turn the battery
main switch to OFF and extract the specific key. If a tool is touching the positive terminal and the
machine structure at the same time, there is risk of sparking.
q Upon fitting the battery, make sure that the battery main switch is set to OFF and finally connect the (-
) ground cable.
q Install the battery correctly. During this operation, take care to prevent the clamps from touching the
terminals.
q If the battery terminals are oxidized, clean them carefully using a metal brush.
Removal
1. Open the battery compartment door, remove the vinyl
covering (1) installed on the battery top part.
2. Remove the cable (2) connected to the ground cable (-).
3. Disconnect the connection cable (4) and the cable (3) from
the positive terminal (+).
4. Remove nuts (5) (No. 2) and support (6).
5. Extract the battery.
Installation
NOTICE
After securing the battery, make sure that it does not move. If it moves, fasten the nuts correctly.
1. Install the battery correctly.
2. Lock the battery with support (6) and nuts (5).
Driving torque: 9.8 – 19.6 Nm
3. Put the vinyl cover (1) in position.
4. Connect the cable (3) to the positive terminal (+).
5. Connect the cable (4).
6. Connect the cable (2) to the ground cable (-).
