12. Check that the discharge valve (2) is tightly closed.
13. Place the valve (1) next to fuel pre-filter cartridge at open
position (O).
14. After replacing the filter cartridge (4), bleed the air as
described below.
15. Refill the fuel tank (floating at the highest position).
16. Loosen the grip (8) of the supply pump, take it out and pump until the movement becomes difficult.
REMARK
It is not necessary to remove the cap on the upper part of the pre-filter and the fuel main filter.
In case the engine does not start due to lack of fuel, actuate the fuel pump in order to bleed the air.
17. After bleeding the air, screw the fuel pump grip (8) tight.
18. After replacing the cartridge, start the engine and run it at idle for about 10 minutes.
NOTICE
q Make sure that there is no fuel leakage from the filter sealing surface and from the transparent cap
support. If any leakage is detected, check the filter cartridge tightening.
q In case the fuel leakage continues, repeat steps 2-6 to remove the filter cartridge, then, in case any
failure or foreign body is detected on the sealing surface, replace it with a new cartridge and repeat
steps 7-18 to install it.
