Fuel topping-up using a refuelling pump (if installed)
q When refuelling, avoid spilling fuel, since this may cause a fire hazard. If fuel is spilled, wipe it up
immediately.
q Fuel is highly flammable; do not use naked flames and do not smoke when refuelling. Hold the fuel
gun constantly in contact with the filler.
q Never leave the machine unattended during the refilling and check.
q After each overflow or fuel leaks, check the machine to detect that there are no fuel traces next to the
electrical or high temperature components.
q Do not dry up the refilling pump. Monitor the fuel level during refilling, in order to avoid pump dry up.
q Check that the filter placed at the end of the pipe is clean.
q In case of malfunction of the refilling automatic stop system, consult the Komatsu local Distributor
and do not use the system until the problem is solved.
1. When the machine is used at building sites without fuel tank and pump, the machine can be refuelled by the
refilling pump with fuel barrels. The refilling pump is placed on the lateral cover.
2. Open the lock, lift the side hood (1) and put the safety rod
in position (2).
