FUNCTIONING
11. Check that the temperature warning light of the engine
coolant (1) indicates the correct temperature.
(A) Correct temperature: blue bottom of warning light (C)
(B) Low temperature: white bottom of warning light (C)
If the displayed temperature is low, further warm up the
engine until the corresponding warning light (1) shows the
correct temperature.

12. Check that the hydraulic fluid temperature warning light
and the engine coolant temperature warning light indicate
the correct temperatures; afterwards, check that the
indicators and warning lights on the machine monitor show
the following status.
q Engine coolant temperature warning light (1): Displays
the correct temperature
q Hydraulic fluid temperature warning light (6): Displays
the correct temperature
q Load level warning light (7): OFF
q Engine oil pressure warning light (8): ON
q Engine pre-warming warning light (9): OFF
q Engine coolant temperature indicator (10): Indicator in
the green area
q Hydraulic fluid temperature indicator (11): Indicator in
the green area
q Fuel gauge (12): Indicator in the green area
q Fuel level warning light (13): Displays the correct level
13. Check that the colour of exhaust gases, noises and
vibrations return to normal. In case of any problem, contact
your Komatsu distributor.
In harsh weather conditions (ambient temperature below 0 °C),
even if the hydraulic fluid temperature warning light indicates
the correct temperature, repeat the operation in point 14 to
warm the whole hydraulic system.
14. Turn the fuel grip (3) to MAX, repeat points 5 to 8 for 3-5
minutes and afterwards check that the hydraulic fluid
temperature warning light (6) displays the correct
temperature.
If the correct temperature is not displayed, repeat points 5
to 8 for 3-5 minutes until the correct temperature is
displayed.
