3. Remove the external cartridge (4).
REMARK
Never remove the safety cartridge (5) as the dust damages the
engine.
4. Clean inside the air filter body and the cover (3).
NOTICE
When cleaning the cover (3), do not remove the exhaust
valve (6).
5. Slightly strike the filtering element (4) on the palm of your
hand, in such a way as to remove the dust, and blow
compressed air on the inner surface, keeping the air jet at
a distance of approximately 15 cm and the pressure below
4-5 bars.
6. After the cleaning operations, inspect the filtering surface
for damage by introducing a lamp into it and carefully
check the front gaskets. If the cartridge is damaged,
change it.
NOTICE
When changing the primary filtering element, change also
the safety cartridge.
7. Replace the external cartridge after 6 cleaning operations
or after using it for 1 year.
REMARK
When cleaning, mark the sequence number of the cleaning
operation in the cover (3) label.
