6. Adjust the back side copy registration so that the distance between the
right scale and the original is 0.5 to 2 mm by pressing "+" or "–" on the
display. Pressing "+" shifts the original stop position to the left. Pressing
"–" shifts the original stop position to the right (0.05% step).
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until the original stops at the correct position.
8. After confirming that the distance between the right scale and the original
is 0.5 to 2.0 mm, press "–" 3 times to change the set value 3 less than the
value set in step 7. (To correct skew, the transport belt is driven 5 mm
after the original contacts the right scale even though "Thin Paper mode"
is selected. This is because it is very rare that a 2 sided thin paper is
used.
12.19 CFF REGISTRATION ADJUSTMENT
1. Access page 8 of "SP adjustment" as per step 1 to 5 of the SKEW
CORRECTION procedure.
2. Set a computer form, so that the CFF sensor detects the trailing edge of
the computer form, and close the transport unit gently.
3. Press the Start key. When the computer form stops, open the transport
unit gently.
4. Adjust the CFF registration so that the distance between the right scale
and the computer form trailing edge is 0 to 2 mm by pressing "+" or "–" on
the display. Pressing "+" shifts the stop position to the left. Pressing "–"
shifts the stop position to the right (0.05% step).
Repeat step 2 to 4 until the computer form stops at the correct position.
