Typical Connection

Figure 3-3 shows a typical driver/receiver connection for data transfer. The FLG,
PIR, and STS lines have a resistive pull-up network. The data lines do not have a
resistive pull-up, but can use an internal pull-up in the SN75ALS160. The
internal pull-up requires that the data lines sink 3.2 mA to pull the line to less
than 0.4 V. The I/O, CTL, and RES lines are open collector and require external
pull-up to logic high.
