5.5.1

Replacing the brushes/pads

Use the indicator Fig. 41-A on the rotating brush unit to:
• determine the wear of the brushes/pads (the rotating brush unit must be
lowered),
• determine whether the brushes/pads have been assembled.
The brushes/pads must be changed when the pointer Fig. 41-B is in the red
zone at the latest.
1. Ejecting the brushes/pads, see section 5.5.3.
2. Inserting new brushes/pads, see section 5.5.4.
Attention
If no brushes/pads are fitted, the top edge of the display plate is
outside the coloured area.
5.5.2

Cleaning the brushes

Clean the brushes Fig. 41-C in the rotating brush unit Fig. 41-22 daily or as
required.
1. Ejecting the brushes, see section 5.5.3.
2. Thoroughly clean the brushes under running water.
3. Coupling the brushes, see section 5.5.4.
