Mounting in "cold plate" technique

The E84AVxxC... controllers are designed for assembly on coolers (e.g. collective coolers) in
"cold−plate" technique.
Requirements for collective coolers
The following items are important for the safe operation of the drive controllers:
Good thermal connection to the cooler
ƒ
– The contact area between the collective cooler and the drive controller must be at
least as big as the cooling plate of the drive controller.
– Even contact area, max. deviation 0.05mm.
– Connect the collective cooler with the drive controller with all the required
screwed joints.
Observe the thermal resistance R
ƒ
transmission between the cooler and the device. With a standard heat conducting
paste and a film thickness of 50 mm, it is approx. 0.03K/W. The values apply for the
operation of the drive controllers under rated conditions.
