Network Components

The CC-Link IE Field Network consists of the following.

Cables

For wiring, use the 1000BASE-T-compliant Ethernet cables.
Ethernet cable
Category 5e or more
(Double shielded/STP) Straight cable
• For CC-Link IE Field Network wiring, use the recommended wiring components by CC-Link Partner
Association.
• Cables for CC-Link IE Controller Network cannot be used for CC-Link IE Field Network.

■Cable types
The following cable types are available depending on the operating environment.
• Standard type: Cables for inside the control panel and indoor connection
• L type: Cables for outdoor connection

Hubs

Use hubs that meet the conditions listed below. Operation is not guaranteed if the hubs do not meet these conditions.
• Compliance with the IEEE802.3 (1000BASE-T)
• Support of the auto MDI/MDI-X negotiation function
• Support of the auto-negotiation function
• Switching hub (layer 2 switch)
*1 A repeater hub is not available.
