2Unpacking to Installation

(2) Arrangement of the ventilation duct

The ventilation duct is attached to the robot's base section rear (reference
and down the volume of the bellows varies, and air is sucked in and released out of the robot's ventilation duct
opening. Be sure to locate the ventilation duct's opening in a position that will not affect the robot's cleanliness.
Furthermore, whilst it is only a small amount, internal suction results in external air flows into the robot through
the ventilation duct's opening, and therefore the following two points should be considered when deciding where
to locate the ventilation duct's opening.
・ The opening should be facing downwards
・ The opening should not be located in the vicinity of dust/dirt or liquids, etc.
(Recommended cleanliness of surrounding area: less than ISO class 5)

Note) When using the optional electromagnetic valve set, we recommend using the primary piping's spare piping
(φ6 air hose) to release the exhaust fumes.
Please take care as leaking exhaust fumes inside the robot may have an impact on the robot's
cleanliness.
