5. Fuel pump relay line Inspection
Install the fuel pump relay and fuse/relay junction
box.
Disconnect the ECM connector A
Turn the combination switch ON.
Measure the voltage as follows:
– ECM connector A
– ECM connector A
Is battery voltage present?
YES
NO

FUEL INJECTOR INSPECTION

CIRCUIT INSPECTION
1. Fuel injector power line open circuit inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF and disconnect
the injector 2P connectors
Turn the combination switch ON.
Measure the battery voltage between each fuel
injector 2P connector main wire harness side No.1
(Yellow/Black) terminal and ground.
Does battery voltage exit?
YES
NO
2. Fuel injector signal line open/short circuit
Inspection
Turn the combination switch OFF.
Disconnect the ECM connector B
Check for open or short circuit between each fuel
injector 2P connector main wire harness side No.1
terminal and ECM connector B
harness side terminal.
Is it normal?
YES
NO

No.13 (Light green) terminal and engine ground
main wire harness side
No.14 (Light green) terminal and engine ground
– • Repair the open in the Black and Blue
wire harnesses between the fuse/relay
junction box and fuel pump (High
pressure side).
• If wire harness is normal, replace the
ECM with a new one and recheck.
– Repair the open or short in the Light green
wire.

– GO TO STEP 2.
– • Repair the open circuit in wire between
the No.9 fuse and fuel injector.
• If the main harness wire is normal,
inspect the No.9 fuse circuit in the fuse
/relay junction box (page 10-11).
– Circuit is normal.
– Repair the open or short circuit in wire
between the fuel injector and ECM.
