Setting General Settings

Besides scheduling, other settings accessible from the password-protected Gen-
eral Settings menu include:
Setting the locale and language
Enabling device capabilities
Downloading updates
Communicating with LifeStream
Whenever you attempt to exit the General Settings screen, you may be prompted to
sync with LifeStream. If you answer Yes to this question, the manual configura-
tions you made on the monitor will be uploaded to LifeStream so that the monitor
and LifeStream are in synchronization.
If you change settings on the monitor prior to retrieving configurations from
LifeStream it will overwrite any pending configurations in LifeStream. If you do not
want the configuration from the monitor to overwrite the pending LifeStream con-
figuration, you must answer No to this question.

Setting Up Language and Units

The Genesis Touch may be programmed to speak in U.S. English, U.K. English,
Canadian-French or Spanish. Additionally, the monitor can use either American
Standard units or Metric units.
Selecting the Monitor's Language for the First Time
Prior to setting the monitor's language to anything other than English (United
States), it is recommended to access the About screen on the monitor, to confirm
the Android™ Operating System version. If Android™ 5.1 is your Operating System,
proceed to Selecting the Monitor's Language and follow the directions in step num-
ber 4.
