Patient-Entered Vital Sign Measurements

If a patient will be manually entering vital sign measurements from a device, the
Genesis Touch may be configured to accept patient-entered data from a user-
friendly touchscreen interface.
It is recommended to add and configure patient-entered vital signs remotely from
LifeStream. Before manually adding patient-entered vital sign measurements,
check for a LifeStream configuration from the Status menu.
The configuration of patient-entered vital sign data collection may also be accom-
plished via the monitor, and it is similar to the pairing procedures in the previous
section. The following vital sign measurements may be collected via this method:
Patient-Entered Vital Signs
Pulse Meter
Blood Pressure
Pulse Oximeter
Weight
To configure patient-entered vital sign measurement collection:
1. From the Peripherals menu, select Add (
2. A screen similar to the following appears. Here you may select any of the

applicable vital signs. Scroll down by swiping up on the touch screen with your
finger as shown below:
Temperature
Blood Glucose
Peak Flow
International Normalized Ratio (INR)
