Answer
The Genesis Touch should always be plugged in during use. If the
monitor is off, press the Power button again to turn the unit back
on.
With the Genesis Touch powered on, access General Settings,
and select Download, to upgrade your monitor software.
It is recommended to do so as a best practice. After turning off
and on, when the monitor is receiving a strong Internet
connection, check for a monitor software upgrade.
Make sure the monitor is plugged in and connected to a power
source. Press and hold the Power button until the screen turns
on.
Check that the power source is turned on, or that a power strip
has not been turned off or disconnected. On the monitor, check
that the power cord is fully inserted into the Genesis Touch.
If the monitor screen still does not turn on, contact customer
service. While on the phone, let the technical support specialist
know if you have recently updated your Genesis Touch software.
The monitor accepts Samsung- and Verizon-branded power
cables and chargers, originally included with the monitor when
purchased. Always use the original charger provided with the
monitor. This message may display if another type of USB
charger is used with the Genesis Touch.
This message may also display if there is buildup of debris, or
damage to the charging cable. Carefully inspect the charging
port of the Genesis Touch for any debris, dust, or signs of
contamination. Inspect the USB cable for any kinks or any other
signs of damage.
With the charger disconnected from the AC power, gently remove
and reinsert the USB cable into the charger 4-5 times. Be sure to
do so slowly and make sure you insert the USB cable straight.
Try removing the USB extension cable that extends the power
cord from the Genesis Touch to the power adapter plugged into
an outlet. Reconnect the remaining short USB cable to the
monitor and power adapter plugged into the outlet.
Turn the Genesis Touch off. If the battery is low, charge to 10-
15% battery before turning the Genesis Touch back on. If you are
unable to charge the Genesis Touch, contact Customer Service.
