Answer
In the Peripherals menu, select the peripheral to unpair.
While selected, select the Edit button. Tap the checked box
on the screen to unpair. Confirm your selection when asked.
Isolate the A&D Blood Pressure Unit from any other devices
or phones, except for the monitor you are using.
Do not pair next to a Wi-Fi router, walkie talkie, base station
or other wireless communication device.
If after multiple attempts you are unable to pair your unit,
check to see if you are using A&D model UA-767PBT-Ci.
The model number is located under the screen. If this is your
model, try this procedure:
1. Hold down the start key for three to four seconds
2. When you see "uPR" displayed, briefly press the start
button again while "uPR" is still displayed.
3. If you see "End" displayed on the screen you have
successfully unpaired your device.
Try pairing the device, using instructions in this manual.
For the A&D scale, units are displayed according to the
switch setting on the bottom of the scale or on the LCD
screen. Verify that the scale is set to the units required
before deploying to a patient.
Always install fresh batteries before a unit is assigned to a
patient. Do not take a measurement with the device before it
has been paired, or after it has been unpaired.
If a device is unable to pair with the Genesis Touch, or
the transmission error symbol appears on the device
(shown here) remove batteries from the peripheral
device and reinsert them. Repeat the pairing process again.
Yes, these A&D units display a charged/discharged status.
For example, in LifeStream, 80% indicates batteries are
charged and normally operating. 20% indicates batteries
are running low and need to be replaced or charged.
The second set of letters and numbers on lowest barcode,
on the back of the A&D unit is what is displayed on the
Genesis Touch. Serial numbers are displayed in LifeStream
for these devices. Refer to the Pairing and Peripherals
section of this guide.
The black Bayer H3 Adapter only sends readings to the
Genesis Touch once. If you need patients to retake glucose
vitals and they are using the black Bayer H3 Adapter, they
will need to also take a new reading. A new blood sample is
acknowledged by the H3 Adapter based on the timestamp.
Users of the J&J Blue H3 Adapter are able to retake their
vital signs measurement. Data from the J&J Glucometer is
resent.
