Resistance
The equivalent series or parallel resistance is obtained from a measurement of
the complex impedance. An AC voltage is applied across the selected winding.
The voltage across and current through the winding are then measured using
harmonic analysis. The measured voltage is divided by the current to obtain a
complex impedance and the equivalent series or parallel resistance calculated.
Select either 'RLS Equivalent Series Resistance' or 'RLP Equivalent Parallel
Resistance' from the Available Tests window, to display:
